All Halloween Haunts Should Extend Into November, A Thesis

Let’s face it. October is unbearably busy. A collision of homecomings, midterms, reunions, the-hall-was-cheaper weddings, costume and decorating prep for parents and fun-loving adults. IMO, the delights of Halloween events should not come to a grinding halt on October 31. Luckily, there are a few events you can still attend in LA. At the end is a listing of events that happen to have an extra day

House of Spirits

Held every year in a massive stately home or theater, House of Spirits actually delivers on its promise. There is a story to follow, actors, characters, dancers, diversions. You feel like you are at the cool cocktail party your friends would throw if they could afford anything. Whether because you are being scared together or being drunk together, you exchange Instas and actually make friends with people. There are many time slots available, in order to accommodate many and — unbelievably for a production with a captive audience — the cocktails, alcoholic and non, are actually good. It feels a little expensive upon purchase, but the heavyweight production seems worth it in retrospect.
